Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

MotorRank (“MotorRank,” “we,” or “us”) provides tools to research, rank, and shop for used vehicles. By using the site, the browser extension, or any connected service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Informational service, not advice

MotorRank’s deal scores, valuations, factor breakdowns, and buyer guidance are informational estimatesproduced from listing data and our own models. They are not financial, legal, tax, or insurance advice, and they are not a guarantee of any price, rate, approval, vehicle condition, or outcome. You are responsible for your own purchase decisions and for verifying any vehicle before you buy.

The ranking is not for sale. A dealer cannot pay to be ranked higher; ordering is computed from the same twelve-factor formula for every listing. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how we earn from outbound partner clicks.

3. Financing

Our financing feature lets you request a prequalification through MotorRank’s third-party lending partner. MotorRank is not a lender, broker, or credit-repair service and does not make credit decisions, originate loans, or charge you a fee for prequalification.

• Soft pull only. A prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry that does not affect your credit score. A later full application by the lender may involve a hard inquiry, which the lender — not MotorRank — discloses to you at that time.
• Estimates only.Rates, monthly payments, and loan amounts shown are estimates. Your actual offer depends on credit, term, vehicle, and the lender’s underwriting, and is not binding on MotorRank or the lender until the lender issues it.
• Your consent. When you submit the prequal form you consent to sharing the information you entered (and, on the soft-pull path, to a soft credit inquiry) with our lending partner. We do not store your full Social Security number or other sensitive application PII on our systems — see our Privacy Policy.

4. Insurance

Our insurance feature shows estimated premium ranges and connects you to third-party insurance quote partners (for example, EverQuote or Insurify). MotorRank is not an insurer, insurance agent, or broker and is not licensed to sell, solicit, or negotiate insurance. We do not bind coverage or issue policies.

• Estimates only. Premium ranges and carrier quotes are estimates. Your final premium and eligibility are set by the carrier based on its own underwriting.
• Partner relationship.When you request quotes or click through to a carrier, you interact with that partner under the partner’s own terms and privacy policy. Any policy you buy is a contract between you and the carrier.
• We don’t sell your info. Information you enter for a quote is used to fetch quotes from partners, not sold — see our Privacy Policy.

5. Vehicle history & AI inspection

Vehicle-history reports (e.g., Carfax) are produced by third parties under their own terms; MotorRank links to them and is not responsible for their contents. Our AI inspection highlights possible red flags drawn from a listing’s own photos and description and cites the source for each finding. It is a screening aid, not a substitute for a professional mechanical inspection or a test drive, and the absence of a flag is not a guarantee of condition.

6. Contacting sellers & negotiation

Where MotorRank helps you message a seller or run an automated negotiation, we act as a tool that sends communications you authorize. We are not a party to, and do not guarantee the outcome of, any sale, and we are not a licensed auto broker. You are responsible for the accuracy of the messages and offers you authorize us to send.

7. Outbound links & partners

Links to dealer listings, history reports, lenders, and insurance partners take you to sites we don’t control. Some are affiliate links through which we may earn a commission, disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page. Affiliate commissions never change your price or the ranking.

8. Accounts & plans

Some features require an account or a paid plan. You are responsible for activity under your account. Paid features, point meters, and any caps are described at the point of purchase; billing terms are presented at checkout.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MotorRank is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on estimates, scores, or partner offers.
