Seller's description
I’m selling my 2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette van. It has a clean title in hand. It has been a really great, well-taken-care-of vehicle, and the interior is still in super nice, clean condition. I hate to let it go, but I’ve already sunk a lot of money into it a year and a half ago, plus a bunch of brand-new parts at the beginning of 2025 and a new alternator in August 2024. I’m just ready to move on and don't want to fix it anymore. This is being listed as a mechanic's special because it currently needs to be towed away. Here is exactly what happened: I do event marketing and travel a lot. I was driving back from Louisiana and hit a really bad pothole. The van made it back to Texas completely fine, but a week or two later it started acting weird and went into limp mode. When I floor it, it goes way too fast, and if I don't, it goes way too slow.I took it to AutoZone and they think the impact jarred or tore one of the lower air intake/vacuum hoses down below the engine, causing an emissions/airflow leak that messed up the sensors. Because it's been parked since then, the battery completely drained out and died. The mileage isn’t at 200k yet—it’s right around 178,000 miles, but since the battery is totally dead I can’t turn the dash on to see the exact number. You are welcome to bring a jump pack if you want to power it up and verify the odometer. It will also need new tires. It's been sitting so long that all the tires lost air, and since the rims have been sitting on them for a while, they are probably torn up. There is currently a donut on one of the wheels as well.Asking $1400 or best offer. I already dropped the price down to account for the fact that you’ll need a tow truck, a battery, and new tires. No trades. Cash is preferred, but I will accept Zelle in person once you have seen the vehicle and scan my code right then and there. Absolutely no checks or remote payment scams. Must be towed away. Let me know if you want to come look at it!<br>
